Artillery v1.1 (24.07.2006)

Controls

1 / 3 - move the camera left / right
7 / 9 - move the camera left / right by one half of the screen
4 / 6 (joystick left / right) - set the angle of your tank's barrel
2 / 8 (joystick up / down) - set the power of the shot
5 (press joystick) - fire
0 - let the AI control your tank for 1 turn

Description

There are 4 tanks on the map. The game is turn-based, the tanks shoot one after another. A random tank starts the game. When the turn of your tank comes, set the angle (A) and the power (P) and shoot. Pay attention to the wind (W), its direction and speed change every turn. Try to eliminate the 3 other tanks before they eliminate you.

Notes

Each time you start the game, the colour of the sky (night, sunrise, sunset, day) and the colour of the terrain (dirt, grass, sand, snow) are chosen at random. The shape of the terrain is also different in each game. Tanks always start at random positions.

Consult the minimap at the top of the screen to determine the positions of the tanks and of the camera.

Bullets that are flying higher than the top of the screen are marked by dots under the top of the screen, so that the the player can follow them.

Bullets deform the terrain. If you shoot out all the ground under a tank, it will fall down (but not explode).

AI chooses a target at random. AI always sets the angle of the barrel to 45 or 135. It sets the power of the shot according to the wind and the position of the target.

General notes for the games

You are not allowed to modify or sell these games.

The games require Java MIDP 1.0 and a colour display. They resize to fit almost any screen, but at least a 128*128 display is required for a comfortable play.

Don't be afraid that the games will be interrupted by an incoming call or an sms, for example. In such a case they will be automatically paused and will enter the menu, later you can continue playing.

The games MAY have a problem on OLDER Sony Ericsson mobiles (k300i, for example). If you press the back-key, the c-key or the internet-key during the game, the game will stop responding and you will have to end the game by pressing and holding the back-button.

Your antivirus software may warn you, that these games contain the JAVA/RedBrowser virus. This is a false positive. This happens with all applications created in MIDletPascal, because JAVA/RedBrowser was also created in MIDletPascal. But JAVA/RedBrowser is a separate application, it is in Russian and it asks the user to allow it to send sms. As you see, it has nothing in common with my games. You can read more about JAVA/RedBrowser at www.f-secure.com or at www3.ca.com.
